The Roanoke, Va. staging yard contains eight tracks, five of which can hold trains of up to about 40 cars. The entire staging yard shown in this photo will be hidden by a large hollow mountain. Access is via a hole in the benchwork, outlined with yellow paint (two other such access holes are also visible in the photo).
